Michael Centore

Michael Centore is the editor of Today’s American Catholic (“TAC”), a journal of inquiry, reflection, and opinion that seeks to promote religious dialogue and deepen the faith of its readers. At TAC, he has hosted events with award-winning authors, theologians, and activists and led consultations for the Catholic Church’s 2021–24 “Synod on Synodality.” His essays and articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Clarion ReviewReligious SocialismKilling the Buddha, and other print- and web-based publications. He has worked most recently with Fr. Gregory Casprini of the monastery of Saint Benedict in Palendriai, Lithuania, to edit Fr. Casprini’s translations of At the Hour of Our Death (Wipf & Stock, 2022) and God without the Idea of Evil (University of Notre Dame Press, 2023) by Dominican theologian Jean-Miguel Garrigues. Michael lives in Connecticut, where he enjoys exploring the state’s many beautiful back roads and hiking trails.
