VIRTUAL CHAPEL

“In the shadow of your wings I take refuge,

 until the destruction is past.”

~Psalm 57:1

UPDATES TO ZOOM SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER SERVICE

BEGINNING ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 AT 11AM PDT

ZOOM LINK
Starting September 5th we are updating our Zoom Link to accommodate the hour change from 10am to 11am PDT. If you are using a saved zoom link from previous Sundays, this coming Sunday you will need to access the Morning Prayer Zoom link directly below.

TRANSITION
Because there is no Wi-Fi accessible at our outdoor amphitheater where we will be holding the in-person liturgy, we have no means of delivering a video of the sermon. We will only have the ability to send an audio version. I know this will be frustrating to some of you but I urge your patience as we attempt to transition safely to in-person liturgies. Over time, once we can move indoors, this will be resolved.

START TIME
From this point forward the online Morning Prayer will begin at 11am PDT, even if the in-person liturgy gets canceled. In which case, all are invited to attend the 11am Morning Prayer on Zoom. This will ensure a consistent start time for the Zoom liturgy whether or not there is a local gathering.

THIRD HOUR

Third Hour will begin at 12:30pm PDT on Zoom, for both distanced and in-person congregants. This will allow time for the completion of the online Morning Prayer service with a short break and will allow for our local members to make their way home or to a wi-fi area to participate. We will use the same Zoom link for the Third Hour as the Morning Prayer service.

LEARNING CURVE
We suspect there will be a number of issues that arise as we make this transition that will need to be adjusted and smoothed out over the next several weeks. Please keep our administrative and pastoral staff in your prayer as we work out these bumps. We love you all and are working hard to help us all ‘be church’ in a meaningful way. We are grateful that you have our backs!

Thursdays

Evensong Candle Light Evening Prayer Circle

Join us for contemplative evening prayer in song, spoken word, and silence.

Meditation Chapel with Fr. Vincent

Join Fr. Vincent and a group of international participants who are slowly ruminating on his book, Contemplating Christ: The Gospels and the Interior Life. Each session consists of an opening prayer, 25 minute sit in silence, rumination on two paragraphs of his book, group discussion, and optional time to reflect on one’s contemplative practice for the week. This is an ongoing gathering. All are welcome.

Weekly Morning

Prayer Service

We invite you to join us on our Virtual Chapel for Morning Prayer. Our service consists of communal prayer, Lectionary readings, meditation, and a sermon. After our service we break for 15 minutes before sharing in a virtual "Third Hour" at 12:30pm where Fr. Vincent leads us in conversation on a weekly spiritual theme.

Tuesdays

Christian Contemplative Practice

This gathering will be meeting weekly online every Tuesday at 7:15pm PDT. For those of you who normally attend either of these groups, please join us along with those who are invited to join perhaps for the first time! Our structure will be identical to that of our normal gatherings: A short biblical reading, a 25 minute sit, shared reflections, a Rhema Talk, and closing prayers.

Wednesdays

12:00 pm PDT

Noon Prayer &

Scripture Study

Participants will join together for noon prayer, and a scripture study of the daily Lectionary readings for the day. This gathering will be led by Deacon Ari Wolfe and Mother Teri Waldron. This is a wonderful opportunity to get together for prayer and study of scripture!
