A Message to Our Community Members
In light of the COVID-19 health crisis, we are clearly in an unprecedented time in our lives. However, there are lovely, beautiful, and even unexpected opportunities that can arise from this time of isolation and social distancing. Among them is an opportunity for people to connect “virtually” through online forums.
With the help of our Bishop’s Committee, Administrator, and volunteers we have been working diligently this week to help community members get connected online through Zoom technology. To that end, we are now prepared to offer a series of online forums to help you all stay connected to one another. Each of our offerings is described below. All are free and open to the public.
While our retreat house remains closed to the public at this time, we are the church and will continue to be church with and for one another throughout this difficult time. Let us remember we are sheltered in the loving Shadow of God’s wings.
10:00 am PDT
Principal Weekly Service of Morning Prayer
Since we cannot gather for the Eucharist, our morning Sunday service will consist of Morning Prayer, Lectionary readings from the day, and a sermon. If you plan to attend this service online, please light a candle and have it with you at home before the service. At the end of the service we will have a 5 minute break for everyone to grab their favorite morning beverage and then share in a virtual “coffee hour” as Fr. Vincent leads us through some reflections and shared discussion.
IN ADDITION TO THE CANCELLATION OF OUR PUBLIC SERVICES,
COVID-19 HAS FORCED THE CLOSURE OF OUR RETREAT HOUSE INDEFINITELY. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY IN SUPPORT OF OUR MINISTRY AS WE MAKE OUR WAY THROUGH THIS TIME TOGETHER.

St. Columba's Meditation Group
This gathering will be meeting weekly online every Tuesday at 7:15pm PDT. For those of you who normally attend either of these groups, please join us along with those who are invited to join perhaps for the first time! Our structure will be identical to that of our normal gatherings: A short biblical reading, a 25 minute sit, shared reflections, a Rhema Talk, and closing prayers. Fr. Vincent will lead this first session as we look to rotate the leadership to others over time.
12:00 pm PDT
Noon Prayer & Scripture Study
Participants will join together for noon prayer, and a scripture study of the daily Lectionary readings for the day. This gathering will be led by Deacon Ari Wolfe and Mother Teri Waldron. This is a wonderful opportunity to get together for prayer and study of scripture!
7:00 - 8:00 pm PDT
Candle Light Evening Prayer Circle
We will join together in sung, spoken, and silent prayer, accompanied by harp and shruti box. Please bring your own candle.
The service program is available below and will also be shown on screen.
