PRAY
Dear Creator God who seeks to set free all captives and all who are oppressed, we ask your guidance, wisdom and direction as to how to best serve your children who are experiencing incarceration. We know you love them deeply and unconditionally and you seek the redemption of their life, so they may live fully the life for which you created them.
God, we know your word instructs us to visit those in prison, to comfort them and bring them hope. We pray you would use us to show them your love and remind them of the unsurpassable worth they possess as your children.
Lord, please use us to bring forth the changes in our system of justice that are unjust and lead to inequitable outcomes for those who are marginalized by our current system. Help us to educate ourselves to support reforms that are in alignment with your purposes, your will and your love.
We thank you for the opportunity to be your ambassadors to bring forth your Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
