In this Iona Lecture, climate change researcher and former diplomat Trevor Houser will provide an overview of the current state of global efforts to address climate change and constructive steps individuals and communities can take to advance those efforts. He will also reflect on how faith can provide both a refuge from environmental anxiety and a guide to personal engagement.

Trevor Houser is a partner at Rhodium Group, an independent research provider. He leads the company's Energy & Climate practice, which analyzes the effects of policy and market developments on greenhouse gas emissions and energy systems. Trevor also co-directs the Climate Impact Lab, a consortium of leading research institutions quantifying the impact of climate change on communities around the world.

Trevor previously served as a climate change negotiator for the U.S. Department of State and as a Visiting Fellow at the Peterson Institution for International Economics. He has written three books on energy policy and global climate change, including The Economic Risks of Climate Change: An American Perspective.
