Aryeh taught himself to play a variety of (mostly string) instruments such as mandolin, guitar, cittern, viola and cello. After touring in Sweden, he was introduced to the nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle) which has become a central inspiration for his musical expression. In 1994, he began his solo career as a recording and performance artist .As of 2022 he has over 20 self-recorded/self- produced full length albums as soloist or primary contributor.
Between 1994-2014 he toured mainly as a solo artist at public engagements at numerous fairs and festivals (both on the Celtic harp and nyckelharpa).
