Join us for the next event in the Beacon of Light series as we welcome Amanda Eichstaedt, Station Manager and Executive Director of KWMR, West Marin’s beloved community radio station.
For 15 years, Amanda has been a driving force behind KWMR—keeping local voices on the air, stories alive, and neighbors connected. As both a leader and a volunteer programmer, she knows firsthand the power of community radio to knit people together, amplify diverse perspectives, and respond in real time to the needs of West Marin.
In this engaging evening, Amanda will share KWMR’s journey, the challenges community radio faces in today’s rapidly changing media landscape, and why local, independent radio still matters. From emergency communication to music discovery, from civic engagement to storytelling, she’ll reflect on how radio strengthens the fabric of community, and what it will take to sustain this vital resource for generations to come.
Whether you’re a longtime KWMR listener, passionate about local media, or simply curious about what it takes to keep community radio thriving, this evening is for you.
This event is free and open to all.
Donations to support the work of KWMR are welcome.
