Home By Another Way
Biblical Reflections Through the Christian Year
by Barbara Brown Taylor
ONLINE BOOK STUDY
with
Deacon Ari Wolfe

Mondays
June 9 through July 21
11:30am PT
In these sermons, Barbara Brown Taylor walks us through the church year from the expectancy of Advent to the fires of Pentecost and beyond. Her themes arise not only from a particular feast or fast, but out of the perennial questions of faith: doubt, grace, anger, and jubilation. These sermons are simply great stories well told.
Barbara Brown Taylor is an Episcopal priest. She holds the Harry R. Butman Chair in Religion and Philosophy at Piedmont College in northeastern Georgia and serves as adjunct professor of Christian spirituality at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur. Recognized as one of the twelve most effective preachers in the English language by Baylor University in 1995, Taylor has published numerous collections of her sermons and theological reflections.
Please get ahold of a copy of the book as soon as you register and read the Introduction and first chapter BEFORE our first meeting on June 9th, if at all possible.
There is a later book by the same author, titled "Home By Another Way: A Christmas Story" which is a 40-page excerpt, but NOT the full version.
We will not be meeting on Monday, July 7 due to the 4th of July weekend.
Duration of each meeting will by 60-90 minutes.
