Mary Fassbinder shares: Perhaps first and foremost, I am a champion of nature. With our world so continuously changing, I want to preserve the lands through art and stories that will feed the soul for future generations. My art disciplines are fine art painting, ceramics, lino-cut, writing and teaching. Coming from and being the tenth of twelve children and growing up on a lake and in the woods formed and informed me of the power of nature. I am forever grateful to the land and all it has given me, and now I am eager to give back through my collected arts and stories. I have been an artist since 1994 and have lived in West Petaluma for the past 40 years. I was the sole proprietor of Fassbinder Gallery and Framing Atelier in downtown Petaluma from 2000 to 2023 where I featured and sold my paintings and ceramics. In my newly built home studio I glean incredible joy and sustenance through teaching my gathered skills either in studio or plein air. From 2014-2018 I traveled to and painted on location ALL 63 U.S. National Parks. I am currently seeking an agent to assist me in publishing the book I wrote of the great adventure!
