Surrounded by family and friends, nestled on a mountainside overlooking the unspoiled rolling hills across Tomales Bay, our old growth redwood sanctuary offers you and your guests an exclusive and intimate experience tucked away on our seven acre property in the midst of the Point Reyes National Seashore.
Located less than an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge, our little church briming with rustic charm, is perfect for a destination wedding right here in the back yard of San Francisco. Guests from the Bay Area can simply drive out for an afternoon or evening, or extend the celebration to a weekend getaway, whale watching off Point Reyes lighthouse, taking in the wildflowers at Chimney Rock, hiking along the endless trails of West Marin, basking along the stretches of isolated beaches, or visiting the quaint shops and cafes in the nearby town of Point Reyes Station.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What size wedding can we have at St. Columba’s?
Our main church can host up to 100 persons with supplemental seating. Our smaller chapel may be more suitable for weddings of 15-20 people.
Who may officiate at the ceremony?
As an Episcopal Church in the diocese of California, our Vicar, Fr. Vincent Pizzuto, Ph.D., would normally work closely with the couple to prepare the wedding and officiate over the ceremony. If the couple has an alternative officiant they would like to consider, please make an appointment with Fr. Vincent to discuss options.
Who can be married at St. Columba’s?
The Episcopal Church celebrates marriage equality. Any two persons who are legally eligible to contract a marriage in the State of California are welcome to celebrate their wedding at St. Columba’s. We also welcome celebrations for the renewal of marriage vows!
Can we host our wedding reception on the premises?
Yes, we can host the space for your reception, which includes a warming kitchen for your caterer, a modest size dining area in Frick Hall, and an outdoor deck that extends from our dining area.
May we serve alcohol at our reception?
Yes. If alcohol is to be served at the wedding, St. Columba’s must receive proof in advance that the wedding party or persons contracted by the wedding party have a valid Service Permit from the California Liquor Control Board (“CLCB”). Only CLCB licensed servers can pour alcohol. If alcohol is to be sold at the wedding, the wedding party must obtain, and show proof of, a temporary liquor license thirty (30) days prior to the wedding.
What is the cost of a wedding at St. Columba’s?
As a Church and Retreat House, we are seeking to make available our sacred space at affordable rates that also allow us to support the upkeep and maintenance of our property.

May we and our guests book the retreat house on our wedding weekend?
On the day of the wedding, we offer our beautifully renovated St. George Room as a spacious bridal suite, and our St. Jerome Room as a groom’s suite. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the use of our Retreat House guest rooms to wedding parties and guests. There are a host of local B&B’s, small hotels, and vacation property rental options for guests wishing to extend their time in West Marin.
May we have a tour of the premises and facilities in advance?
Absolutely! Because we are an active Retreat House, tours must be scheduled by contacting us. We will be happy to arrange a time when the Retreat House is available for tours.
